Getting my float on yesterday!! This was the first time I tried FLOATING after hearing a lot about it from friends. It's recommended as a form of meditation because you are cocooned in this pod, lights out, floating for about an hour. The weightlessness of your body is really relaxing, yet strange at the same time. Whether you float, meditate, or just take time for yourself, it's incredibly important to make the time to work on YOU. To close your eyes, be in stillness and just listen to the internal dialogue that's going on inside your mind ... then work on some proactive ways to improve that conversation your having with yourself. Affirmations, journaling, listing gratitudes ... they all help, so find what works for you. #Floating #Gratitide #Meditate

It was an honour to share my post swimming journey on @morningshowon7 My life has dramatically changed since being an athlete and in no way was the transition easy, but as soon as I changed my perception, my life changed. I always viewed my swimming career and Olympic achievements as the absolute pinnacle of my life and everything thereafter would be downhill. Going through those few years feeling like my life had no meaning and nothing to look forward to, compared to what I had experienced in the pool, made every day a battle to be positive. Once I decided to view my Olympic Medals and athletic career as a platform to bigger and better things ... as a vehicle to share my experiences to help others, it changed my mindset. I pride myself on my authenticity and ability to share openly. I believe it allows others to truly see the real me in hope that it will help ease someone else's inner struggles in some small way. Thank you for all your loving comments, I'm truly grateful for my life and the ability to share my journey so openly with you.

When I was swimming, it was so hard to find snacks that were both tasty & full of nutrients for fuelling me through workouts. Mum would bring me a range of things to have as afternoon tea right after school on the way to the pool, and man have I had some bad experiences. Yogurt or any dairy being right up there with the worst because it wouldn't digest well and made me feel so sick or even be sick. Hence why I made the SuperCharged Bars - I wanted all kids, mums and athletes to have a QUICK healthy snack so they can workout at their best!!! What a wonderful 4 days it has been getting to know these lovely ladies!! It feels good to be home after a big few days in Melbourne and Sydney with the Australia India Youth Dialogue My mind is pumping with ideas after so many insightful discussions around: Social enterprise Health Equality and Diversity. It was interesting to hear from the Indian delicates about some of the problems they face and discussing ways we can collaborate together as nations to help alleviate these issues. Definitely a fulfilling and insightful 4 days with so much new knowledge and best of all, friendships with people I otherwise wouldn't have met. @erinwatsonlynn #AIYD17

Being apart of the Australia India Youth Dialogue these past few days has made me miss India so much. I absolutely loved my time there last year and can't wait to be back again this year. There is so much I hope to contribute through mentoring some of the female Indian athletes and up and coming Olympians. I was trying to find an appropriate picture to sum up my thoughts of today, but decided a quote was better. Going through my transition after swimming was incredibly tough. It wasn't until about a year after finishing my athletic career when all the dust settled, and the realisation of no longer being "current" and recognised for being the best at something set in. Achieving such high levels of success in sport brings about wonderful opportunities which are usually all based on external gratifications. So when you take away the vehicle in which you receive this recognition it definitely takes a huge hit on your self worth. I believe it's incredibly important to take the time to develop and work on your self from the inside out. Asking yourself the tough questions like: What is my purpose? What's my worth? What do I value? Can be confronting and make you feel vulnerable, but once you can look at those demons of insecurity head on and dig deep within yourself, it opens up a whole new world. Take the time to quieten your outside world and work on yourself. All the answers you seek can be found within. Learn to forgive yourself and trust that there are gems of wonderful opportunity that can only come from enduring and overcoming the hardest times. Sending love and light to you all and I truly hope this post gives you a small insight to some of the struggles that top level athletes may go through. Please be gentle on yourselves and on others, as you never really know what's going on inside someone's else's head.

After years of connecting over social and supporting one another's careers, it was great chat in person at the Australia India Youth Dialogue dinner last night. You're such an inspiration for bringing light to world issues through your ultra - marathon runs. Thank you for all your love on my last post ... I so truly appreciate your comments and support, it warms my heart so much. After a bit of a funny week I decided to take some of my own advice and revisit my e-book "The Art of Wellness" and focus on some of the points in the MINDSET section. So today I created and said aloud a few positive affirmations, took time to visualise my goals, meditate and refresh some of my online content. When @dahlhousenutrition and I wrote this book it was our intention that it be used as a guidebook you can continually refer back to when you need a little guidance and inspiration. We touch on a number of different aspect as I believe in a holistic, all encompassing approach to your goals. Spending the night in, relaxing before a big week ahead. Its been a interesting week to say the least. Full of emotions (ups and downs) and an overwhelming feeling of not being satisfied with where my life is currently at. An interesting time to feel this way considering I've just launched my business - but I've never been one for settling, plateauing or being content with mediocrity. I know some of you might say that I should already feel satisfied with what I have achieved in the pool, I've just always known there is more to me than that. I have such gratitude for my life experiences and lessons learnt to date and now I feel ready to share what I've learnt. Nothing fills me up more than deeply connecting with people, sharing my insights and being a positive impact in others lives ... which is why I so value being able to share my honest, authentic self on here with you. In times like this I have to remind myself that's it's ok to experience contrast and hard times, because it forces me to ask better questions of myself. Nurturing myself and doing things that make me feel good are of the upmost importance right now, so it's an early night for me. Sweet dreams my loves may you have a blessed week ahead.

This mornings feels after a killer Bootcamp @scienceoffitness Every now and then it feels really good to test your limits and see how hard you can push yourself, because that "toughness" translates over to every other aspect of your life. Just drove back from the Gold Coast after a few @racerice meetings and straight to @kisstheberry for an afternoon Açaí Bowl Needed a bit of nature and fresh air after a few hours in the car and feeling slightly overwhelmed. Trying to listen to my inner guidance and take some time off to re-centre so tomorrow can be incredibly productive. It's not just about eating fresh food and exercising to be "healthy" ... you must take a holistic approach to wellness. Ok so I can't lie, but today I am EXHAUSTED and did not feel like working out at all. But after a lazing morning and some meditating I forced myself to get to pilates to do a workout with the genius behind @studio_pilates, @jadewinter! On days like today, I'm definitely not keen on pushing myself, rather listening to my body and nurturing myself with a more gentle workout. I always get a great feeling of accomplishment from following through with some form of moevement even when I don't want to, because it's about forming good habits and holing yourself accountable. Everyone can workout once a week and do a killer session, but consistency is the key to any success. If you want to not only look great, but feel positive and confident, you must hold yourself accountable to maintaining your routine even when it's a bit tough ... because that's when you see the biggest improvements. Keep up the great work everyone, continue to develop that inner strength and confidence

My heart is so full of appreciatio seeing gorgeous little Mimi enjoying our @racerice SuperCharged Bars. My greatest desire in creating these bars was for kids all around the world to want to eat healthy and for SuperCharged Bars to replace the enormous amount of junk food in the marketplace. Our health is all we have and kids need extra nourishment as their little bodies grow and get stronger. We don't always have the time available to whip up organic bliss balls at home for on-the-go snacks, so it's important to have a healthy, quick and convenient snack. TODAY WAS JUST MAGIC The biggest thank you to every one of you who ordered your SuperCharged Bars today (link in bio) ... it's been such a thrill to see such a positive response. My whole heart is singing with joy and pride and I couldn't have done it without you all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. The most satisfaction I've felt since racing ‍♀️ There have been a few people asking if the bars are good for athletes ... They ABSOLUTELY are!! That was the biggest driver behind making them, thinking of those young athletes who go from sport to school to sport to homework and parents just needing a quick, nutritious snack to fuel you through. The bars have a vegan pea protein in them for added nutritional value and recovery so fuel up!!

Up and ready to get into some breaky and exercise, after a few hours on the computer making sure everything's working with @racerice cause we are now LIVE! I made this 3 of these chia puddings on Sunday so I would have a few different options in the morning, especially the more rushed ones. They are sooo easy to make and are a really health choice because @bioglanau chia seeds are high in magnesium (amazing for muscle recovery and relaxation) they are really high in protein, which is great for me because I eat predominately vegan. I mixed 1 cup chia seeds with 1 tin of organic coconut milk & another tin full of water. You can be fancy and add vanilla extract or coconut sugar to the mixture, then just let it sit for 30mins and spoon it into your jars or containers and top it with whatever you like. I did mine with dedicated coconut, @bioglanau maca powder (hormone balancing) and raisins. If you a super on-the-go person and forget or "don't have time" for breaky ... this is your go to!!! DON'T EVER SKIP BREAKFAST

I can't believe that tomorrow's the day when all the work that's gone into the past 2 years finally comes together. I feel like tomorrow I can officially call myself an Entrepreneur and Business Woman. I love the feeling of continually learning and challenge myself and then seeing it all come to life. I love Monday's for getting organised and back into the swing of things especially with exercising and food. Got all my groceries for the week and actually did a double workout today (although both were short only 20-30mins each) Feeling so blessed to live in this gorgeous apartment and have this magical view to look at every day. I love working from home and often take for granted the little things like "fresh air". When I was in India, I realised how much I value it and how lucky we are here in Australia ... take a moment to recognise the little blessings in everyday life

Bliss Ball's were a massive hit. Vegan, Natural and Healthy ... makes a great mid day or afternoon snack if your like me a get a sweet craving about 3pm 10 dates 4 tbs coconut oil 2 tbs chia seeds or pepitas 1/2 cup roasted almonds 3 tbs dedicated coconut BLEND 1/2 cup roasted hazelnuts (blended separately and add to the rest of the mixture Roll the mixture into balls and roll them in dedicated coconut. Hope you enjoy them !!!

This pretty much sums up my week so far, in and out of different meetings and opportunities for @racerice I've been working really hard to get the website finalised so we can launch next week. Seriously, a huge thank you to the guys at @4040creative for dealing with my "meticulousness" Looking at the whole thing come together makes me so proud, because it's not often in business that you get gratification for the hours of hard work that go in when no one gives a damn ... much like swimming!!!! So it's really empowering to reflect on the journey so far.

You know, it's really interested, because playing sport taught me to always encourage, empower and support your team mates, even if they were competitors ... but sometimes I see people trying to bring others down to try and lift themselves. In my opinion that comes from a place of insecurity and lack, which is why practising gratitude is the greatest gift. There was no better feeling touching the wall 3/4 of the way though a KILLER main set in the pool, and one of my teammates saying "come on Ricey 4 to go" or "great job" ... that act of encouragement lifted me beyond what I could do for myself and always made the last bit of the session a little bit easier than going it alone. Vice verse, I got such fulfilment sharing words of support to my teammates when they were hurting, knowing that we were all in this together in some way or another. I honestly have always been authentic in my congratulations to other competitors, even more so when they beat me, because I knew they had clearly worked harder than me to get there and they absolutely deserved that moment in the sun. Plus, there's no better motivation to improve yourself than when you see others achieving what you desire. Keep in mind as you go through your day to share your encouragement and support of others and just watch it come back to you 10 fold.

I'm honoured to announce my partnership with @innerorigin and couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity to share my beliefs around health as an ambassador. I'm constantly learning more & more about wellness and how best for me to eat, exercise and live. It's so eye-opening once you start REALLY paying attention to what ingredients go into products and carefully analysing the labels. So many products don't have to show what's ACTUALLY in the product or where it's sourced from and to me that's so wrong, because as customers we absolutely should know what we are buying. I also find some labels incredibly overwhelming, so no wonder people are confused with "what is healthy" ... Hence why I predominantly eat a plant based diet. I love that @innerorigin is a marketplace where customers can have full transparency on the items they are buying, like where is made etc, so you can make the best purchases for you.
