I'm honoured to announce my partnership with @innerorigin and couldn't be more grateful for this opportunity to share my beliefs around health as an ambassador. I'm constantly learning more & more about wellness and how best for me to eat, exercise and live. It's so eye-opening once you start REALLY paying attention to what ingredients go into products and carefully analysing the labels. So many products don't have to show what's ACTUALLY in the product or where it's sourced from and to me that's so wrong, because as customers we absolutely should know what we are buying. I also find some labels incredibly overwhelming, so no wonder people are confused with "what is healthy" ... Hence why I predominantly eat a plant based diet. I love that @innerorigin is a marketplace where customers can have full transparency on the items they are buying, like where is made etc, so you can make the best purchases for you. This is why meditation has become a part of my daily routine. It's a non-negotiable!! People often ask me how to mediate or what to do, personally I think it's best to find what works best for you and try a couple of different "techniques". You can lie down on your side or back, sit on a chair, sit legs crossed on the floor - listen to guided meditations on YouTube, be in stillness, listen to rain water music...whatever really!! Each morning I try to tune into what I most think will serve me and today that was lying on my side listening to a guided mediation of health affirmations. The important thing is taking the time to be with your thoughts, set intentions and cultivate the feeling of gratitude - I guarantee you will feel and see the results

Thanks to everyone who tuned into my Facebook LIVE workout session today at @scienceoffitness. So nice to get away to the Gold Coast for the day and lie on the beach reading Currently I'm reading "Shoe Dog - by Phil Knight" the story from the founder of NIKE. It's very interesting, especially considering I'm just about to launch @racerice, so I love reading up and learning from others who have absolutely killed it. There's always some way of improving and bettering yourself or your business and I just love feeling like I'm constantly evolving and growing into the person I want to become.

Some of you have been asking about my morning meditations and what I do. I started mediating about 4 years ago right after I finished swimming because I found I wasn't having any "me time" where I could shut down my brain like I use to be able to do swimming. I did a course on Vedic meditation which was great and follows a 20min meditation twice a day. But as time went on, twice a day wasn't as manageable and I found it to be more of a chore than something I looked forward too. I was also getting frustrated & disappointed with myself if I wasn't doing both of them. So I just decided to do 1 a day in the morning, as I find it the most amazing way to set your intentions for the day ahead and take a quick 15-20min to just be still and relaxed and not "plan". I can honestly say that my meditations have bought me the best visualisations and ideas for my business and general life. I find meditating now to be a time where I can consciously create and visualise my goals and dreams in a positive way ... almost like watching a movie of how you want your life to be. The really interesting thing in researching more about visualising is that your brain doesn't know the different between visualising and physical reality, and whatever you think about most happens...be it good or bad. So I highly recommend taking even just 10 mins a couple of times a week to consciously think about and visualise positively the life you want, how you want to feel, how you want your body to look, etc, because I know it works + it makes you feel great and sets a wonderful intention for how you will go about your day.

After 3 shoulder surgeries (on my right side) it's been really important for me to continue rehabbing my shoulder to make it as strong as possible so I can do all different types of movements and exercises. Today at @scienceoffitness we focused on scap control to help strength all the stabilising muscles around my shoulder so I can work up to doing chin ups and other big muscle movements again. I found this exercise so frustrating & challenging to fire the right muscles but I know it's important for me to spend the time developing this strength so I don't get injured again. It's really important to have patience and learn how to do all exercises correctly to avoid injury setbacks which in my experience, messes with your momentum and motivation and makes it so hard to get back into it again.

Getting a few emails done while I'm away to keep ontop of everything with business. @racerice is launching on Monday (fingers crossed) so just making the final touches to the website and content ... getting so excited now that it's actually coming to life after all these years Big thank you to all of you for your support and well wishes for the business, I'm so proud of what I've created and grateful for the team I have around me, because I know I couldn't have done it alone

Keeping fit while I'm on holidays has been pretty easy this time around because I prioritise it. Like I said in my last post I've been doing a quick 20min body weight workout 4-5 mornings a week but my family and I are also on a cycling holiday around the Barossa. We have been averaging 15-20k on the mountain bikes everyday with quite a few hills ... quad burnnnn!! I prioritise exercise because I love the way it makes me feel both physically and mentally. Just getting the blood flowing is the best feeling to me - it always lifts my energy, spirits and positivity. If your feeling a bit down on yourself or not confident, I totally recommend movement - be it walking, swimming, bodyweight movements or something else that you enjoy.

Just got back from our daily ride around the Barossa. Today we had to ride from our last accommodation to the one we are staying at tonight which was about 20km on the mountain bike It actually feels good to get back on the bike after years off haha #StillGotIt At school I was picked in the QLD development squad, sort of like a youth Olympic team at 14 for both road and velodrome. I trained in the team for about 6-8months as well as swimming until they wanted to up the sessions from 2 a week to 5 + I was swimming 7 sessions a week and I just didn't have enough hours in the week, so decided to fully apply my energy and focus to swimming. This year I would love to do a charity ride, so if you guys have any recommendations or advice on some of the best ones please let me know. Gives me a goal to work towards!

Almost everyday I start my mornings the same. First, I tongue scrape. Sounds strange but you can buy them at most health food stores or chemists and I can't live without mine now. Every night when we sleep our body does all its repair work and cleanses out toxins. You will often notice in the morning you have a white layer on your tongue (the toxins) so it's important to scrap it off before you drink or eat anything, otherwise you are just re-ingesting all the crap your body worked so hard to get rid off. Then I meditate for 15-20mins, usually listening to a guided meditation on YouTube. Then I write down in my gratitude journal 5 things I am grateful for ... I starting incorporating this after reading @oprah "What I Know For Sure" and absolutely love the way it makes me feel. Then I have a big glass of lemon water and/or a hot lemon and coconut oil tea to cleanse out my system and alkalise + hydrate. Then I workout to get the blood pumping ... 20mins is all I do most days. It seems like a lot but this is what works best for me after trialling a number of different ways. You don't have to do it all but I highly recommend incorporating some of these processes (especially meditating) to set intentions for your day and focus your energy. This way you are putting yourself in the drivers seat of your life and not allowing external factors to dictate how you think, feel and act. Make today amazing!!!

Following on from my last post.⠀ This ones for all those people who didn't believe in me, who criticised, who wrote negative articles ... That was never going to stop me from going for my goals.⠀ And for me, this picture reminds me of why I never felt like I fitted in ... because I was never meant to. ⠀ Standing on the Olympic Podium (3 times) singing the Australian Anthem with pride (not well though), becoming the fastest person in the world and seeing my parents in the stands crying with pride made EVERY challenge fucking WORTH IT. ⠀ I will never forget my journey as an athlete, the support of my family, coach and team & these experiences will forever fill my heart with gratitude, because I never could have done it alone.⠀ ⠀ Trust in the process and always say thank you, and know you can achieve anything you set your mind too and fully commit too.

People don't believe me when I tell them I use to be incredibly shy when I was young. I never had many friends, in fact up until grade 6 I only had 1 real friend @laura__rose_ and she didn't go to my school. So at lunch times I would sit alone or with a group (but on the outside of the circle) never really fitting in.⠀ ⠀ As I became better at swimming I started getting recognised as "the swimmer" and that's where I got all my confidence from and it filled my desire to fit in. ⠀ I'm forever grateful for all of the hard lessons and experiences I've had in life so far because they have shaped me into the woman I am today. ⠀ I'm grateful for that 1 school sports teacher who told my mum "that I would never be an elite athlete because I didn't have the body for it". I'm grateful for that school not giving me a scholarship because "I didn't excel in 2 areas" as it led me to an incredible school with a principle who had every confidence in me and my dream to be an Olympic Gold Medalist.⠀ ⠀ Now that I'm older I understand how these experiences could destroy any young child dreams and self worth. This is a huge part of why I'm so passionate about empowering every child to believe in themselves and to touch their lives in a positive way, because those seemingly small moments can change a life forever.

It feels good to be getting back into the routine after enjoying a little break over the holidays. It's good to let yourself be flexible over the holidays with food and exercise and not pressuring yourself to be perfect. In saying that, I generally eat healthy, whole foods and move my body by swimming, walking etc, just not to the same intensity as I generally would. Then you come back refreshed, with new goals and purpose. Remember that being healthy isn't about being "perfect" and following a "perfect routine" it's about having the intuition and guidance to make the best choices for YOU each and every day that make you feel your best.

Vegan Christmas Deserts were a massive hit @courtyhickey nailed the Mountain Top Bars from the Gwinganna recipe book. It's essentially a coconut & macadamia base with a berry chia jam and toasted coconut topping .... so frikken delish (stoked we have lots of leftovers)

Moving your body does wonders for you both mentally & physically. Since finishing my career as an athlete training up to 7hours day I have found a new appreciation for exercise. I no longer view it as a career goal that I have to push towards for only physical benefits. I view it as a vital part of my "excellence routine". To be my best everyday, I meditate for 20mins, write down 5 things I am grateful for and move my body in ways that feel best for the way I am feeling for that day. My exercise changes every day and I don't follow any specific training program and I LOVE the freedom that brings. What's are the things that make you feel best?? Make sure you incorporate them into your every day routine and just watch how much it lifts your energy & spirit

To everyone heading to the Gabba over the next few days, make sure you wear your best pool gear to be selected into this section because it's like no other. As if you don't want to watch the cricket in your boadies (or @budgysmuggler 's) by the pool, having a beer in the sun ... I know these boys loved it @scienceoffitness

Absolutely loving living in my new apartment, but I have been finding the air just isn't as fresh. So I bought a couple of indoor plants which made a massive difference + getting this @dyson Pure Cool Link to remove the extra pollen, pollution and bacteria. I definitely recommend getting one of you suffer with allergies or hayfever. P.s Oprah's book "what I know for sure" is a must read

This is so true!!! A big reason why I don't watch the news and am very specific about the people I work with. Seeing this is also a huge reminder of how grateful I am for the true friends and loving family in my life
