Killed lower body yesterday and used these 2 exercises as finishers. Weighted cable kickbacks hold and squeeze at the top. The second was lunges with a pop in the front the resistance band helps a lot place it over the shoulder and under your toe. Squats _ They’re sometimes referred to as the king of all exercises, and with good reason. Squats are a full-body fitness staple that work the hips, glutes, quads, and hamstrings, and strengthen the core. Squats may help improve balance and coordination, as well as bone density. 1. Stand with feet a little wider than shoulder-width apart, hips stacked over knees, and knees over ankles. 2. Roll the shoulders back and down away from the ears. It's important to maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement. 3. Extend arms out straight so they are parallel with the ground, palms facing down or, if it’s more comfortable, pull elbows close to the body, palms facing each other and thumbs pointing up. 4. Initiate the movement by inhaling and unlocking the hips, slightly bringing them back. Keep sending hips backward as the knees begin to bend. 5. While the butt starts to stick out, make sure the chest and shoulders stay upright, and the back stays straight. Keep the head facing forward with eyes straight ahead for a neutral spine. 6. The best squats are the deepest ones your mobility allows. Optimal squat depth would be your hips sinking below the knees (again, if you have the flexibility to do so comfortably). 7. Engage core and, with bodyweight in the heels, explode back up to standing, driving through heels. Imagine the feet are spreading the floor (left foot to the left, right foot to the right) without actually moving the feet. Today's progress I added Prolessa Duo to get rid of that top layer of fat and Rebuild strength for muscle building to my current regimen and wow I was able to achieve this. I did the exact same workouts and cardio I only added those 2 products. That quad muscle on the left side is new and that hip indent is more obvious. Starting another 30 day round and hoping to get more definition I need to hit the gym harder and more often but I love the improvement. You don't always need heavy weight sometimes resistance will do the trick. I did these one time and let me tell you they are hard your jumping and thrusting from your hips trying to go against the resistance band. Squat low and deep on your landing you'll feel the burn in your legs and glutes. I suggest 3 sets of 50 or add to a circuit and do 20 then you can do a row variation as shown here to create a full body workout. "My butt is shrinking from working out" if that's what your thinking I want you to read below. _ You can grow your booty but you need to train correctly, at the right intensity and it's not gonna grow if your eating 3 meals and one of them is a salad. You need to be on a proper diet for your goals. Muscle is muscle there isn't a booty building diet lol you eat to grow. Same way men want a bigger chest Women want a bigger booty. Muscle is muscle ladies. I hear a lot of "I'm training but I stopped because my butt was getting smaller" my response is WHY did you quit it was working. You have to shift the ratio of muscle mass to fat tissue in your buttocks area. If you have a fat ass, literally, then shed the fat and expose your shapely musculature. You can not mold fat but you can mold muscle. Your booty may get smaller because your shedding fat now replace and add with muscle. There are three main muscles that comprise your butt you should try and hit all 3 to get it high, round and thick. The muscles are gluteus maximus gluteus medius gluteus minimus So keep in mind only doing squats may not be effective you need to create a workout specifically for glutes hitting all 3 muscles. Make sure your getting sore and take the correct supplements to repair I highly suggest Rebuild Strength from the link in my bio after heavy weight days.
