We talked the other day about adding variations into your workouts so things don't get stale. I'm a believer in starting with basics and mastering those first but once you have that down add a day you hit legs with different moves. Sometimes I add a day of lower body variations and sometimes I do things like leg press of 100's which is killer. I saw this video and loved the variation of these two exercises. _ With little to no weight on the smith use this as a burn out. Squat opening your feet into different positions you'll be hitting your quads and flutes all around. The bounce will burn your lower body because your never coming up for that rest your constantly keeping the muscle engaged. If your gonna try this I suggest going heavy on the deadlift for 15-20 reps then remove the weight or put very little on and burn it out with this squat variation. Don't knock it until you try it When we train arms we show arms when we train hamstrings we SHOW hamstrings and the proper movement. I've talked about how as a child if I didn't eat school meals me and my brother didn't eat period. As a child there were times I went without basic stuff water, food, electricity a hug. I asked my group members to make goals and have a vision. I made my goal today something that will help me stay focused. I don't help people lose weight so I can buy Christian Louboutins or so I can go shopping at the mall, I also don't judge those who do that it's just not my goal. I don't crave an extravagant lifestyle I just want enough and I want to create a royalty for my kids and I genuinely want to help others get healthy. Within helping others lose weight I want to continue to give back. Every month a I will donate a percentage of my income from my coaching to a different organization my goal is to make sure kids don't go without basic needs food, water, shelter. This is my pledge I hope others will follow in my footsteps. I have a request please spam my comments with organizations I can donate to targeting children in need. Thank you

I've been having this issue lately that I'm trying to work through. Dealing with FEAR ever since I broke my leg hiking my body is now in "what if" mode. Last weekend everyone cliff jumped into the ocean and I stood there at the cliff and I couldn't jump my body was frozen, by body was shaking and as I walked away my tummy was trembling on the inside. I was so pissed because that's not me that night I couldn't sleep I couldn't believe I let fear get me. I had so much regret it was eating me up. I'm the fearless girl climbing trees, jumping fences, and diving in the deep blue. Normally, I believe if I die I'll be able to see my parents again so living is great but dying is not that bad so fuck it I'll play it out full and take chances. Usually I'm fearless I think when it's our time it's just our time till then I just do things I probably shouldn't, I take chances and I'll be the first to jump. _ Like I said though since I broke my leg hiking my mind has been panicking. Yesterday my brother was like let's go to Hoopi Falls and jump I was like but I've jumped it before so I knew I needed to just get past it. I stood at the top looking down and my body froze, I felt my mind was about to talk me out of it and before it could I shut my eyes and jumped. Crazy how powerful the mind is and how it controls our body. I proved I'm stronger though and in the end my mind may control my body but I control my mind. I hate fear. I actually love being scared I feel alive when I'm scared I think the feeling is funny. I don't like it controlling me and last weekend it controlled me. Yesterday I took the first step in overcoming that. Thank you for helping my brother! I love you I jumped and felt awesome I won _ What I'm trying to get at is, I want you to recognize how your mind will try and control you. But remember your in control, you control your mind don't let it control you. Don't get stuck in life because your scared. I see people all the time talking about "hitting a plateau" and I'm not seeing change in the gym. I tell my girls all the time up your intensity what you think you can do Challenge yourself and go a step further. If your stuck then mix it up and turn it up. I have been using these during my cardio for over a year. This was a must when I competed. I used it 7 days a week to do my cardio I personally like sweating extra in my midsection. I feel like it really helped bring my abs out with the release of water constantly over my preps. I've seen other people say it's helped them and they wore it all day which is great it's not what I do. This is not a corset from the 1800's that you tie till you can't breathe I believe that can be very dangerous. You buy your size and wear it lose enough to breathe like I said I like the extra sweat during cardio. Nothing works without proper diet and exercise this is like any supplement you can't just throw this on and expect to loose your whole midsection in a week. Have realistic expectations going into this. It does work I use it myself daily but you gotta put the work in!!

I've been focusing on quad building this season so I exhausted them out by doing a set of heavy leg curls 30 reps followed by a heavy round of leg extensions 10 toes pointed up, 10 toes pointed out and 10 toes pointed together. I got off with no breaks and did squat walks at the end 5 jump squats, walked back and repeat. I did this 4 rounds and could barely walk out of the gym. Someone asked me "is it too late for me to get in shape?" and I instantly thought HELL NO! Listen, your never too old or too young to improve. It's never too late to start your body will go where your mind takes it. If you believe you can improve at 65 you will. If you decide at 14 you want to be athletic you can. No matter what your age is you can do it, the first step is believing you can. Don't let your age, weight, circumstance or negative mindset hold you back. Leg day I'm about to go hit legs today I was thinking people ask all the time what are the most effective workouts for growing a booty. Here it is ... you can not spot train any part of your body you just gotta stay consistent. I do legs and booty 2-3 times a week. I use all kinds of exercises but right now I'm staying traditional with squats, lunges and deadlifts. When I want to get creative I add in all kinds of fun variations. I held my hands in opposite directions, like when you doing deadlifts. I get asked all the time how much weight have I lost? When I had G December 10th I weighted 200 pounds I have #hypothyroidism so I felt like all the weight I had gained wouldn't come off. I ate healthy and worked out my whole #pregnancy and still got up to 200 pounds. After I had G I was still in the 180's and heavy, I felt uncomfortable and sluggish. Honestly at the time I couldn't see myself getting my pre-pregnancy body back especially after my 4th child. I knew that I would #breastfeed my baby and that ment no fat burners either. So the issue began finding products that were safe while I was breastfeeding and would help me get lean again. I had to really push myself to start working out as well. I found products that worked for me and the weight began just melting off. Sometimes we need to try new things maybe things we never thought would work. I put my meal plan and supplements into action with 100% consistency and got results. I'm still putting in work and I'm not done yet. I don't have special abilities only the want to be better for my family and myself. I get asked all the time about cardio. Which cardio is best? How much cardio? Cardio before or after weights? Cardio at the gym or home? Here is the answer....any cardio you choose do it consistently!! One thing is not better than the other, the time of day is irrelevant, before or after doesn't matter. Just be consistent with the cardio you choose to do. As for duration I always suggest starting slow and progressing so you don't burn yourself out. If you have never done cardio start with 15 min, the next week do 20 then add 2-5 minutes weekly eventually getting up to 45 minutes. Once you can do a steady 45 min start experimenting by trying new things like HIIT cardio, fasted cardio, split cardio. Have fun find what you enjoy and don't limit yourself cardio can be done at home or the gym. Dancing is cardio, jump rope is cardio, spinning is cardio there are so many options. Find what works for you and get consistent. Push through the days you don't feel like it to get that consistency. Once your consistent I promise results will come. Since I can remember I've never been happy with my body I remember as a child in Jr high stuffing my bra with my best friend. From a young age I had a negative self image of myself and my body. I've shared on here before that I was molested by a family member as a young child and maybe that plays a role in my self image. But regardless growing up I was very insecure about myself. As soon as I turned 18 I got breast implants and when I turned 21 I got bigger breast implants which I now regret very much. You would think after the breast implants I would feel better but no then I started obsessing on the cellulite on the back of my thighs. I would pick out small things about myself that I hated and I would obsess. I never looked in a mirror and though "Yes I look good" I only saw the bad or what I didn't like. I don't look at photos of myself because I'll be sad that I feel like I look ugly or fat or I'll find a flaw. I have tried every yo yo fad diet on the market before I discovered "meal prepping" and eating 5x a day. I can honestly say the only time I looked at myself and thought wow, was when I was about to step on a #NPC stage to compete because I had worked so hard on myself and I was strong mentally and physically and I had worked so hard on my body. But walking off that stage your contacted with what you need to "fix" it's a never ending improvement or what you need to improve on. Once you start training seriously your mind and heart will transform you'll become more positive and you'll start loving yourself. There are no short cuts folks, you have to eat right and train hard. It feels amazing to look in the mirror and see results of your hard work not results of plastic surgery that doesn't help you I promise. _ If you have been through some issues in life that you still carry around as an adult, if you hate looking at yourself in the mirror or your just not happy I highly suggest you start getting healthy. The mental and physical transformation you'll go through will be the best decision you'll make. Do something for you! Alot of people argue in regards to Sissy Squats but I love old school exercises. I'm not a fan of the version where your knees go over your toes but I love this machine here. Sissy squats focus solely on the quads and my goal this year is to get some quad separation. I found a version of these that can be done on the smith machine so I'm gonna try that. If you don't have this machine the hack squat would be comparable. Below are the directions for the smith machine version 1.Standing upright, with feet at shoulder width and toes raised, use one hand to hold onto the beams of a squat rack and the opposite arm to hold a plate on top of your chest. This is your starting position. 2. As you use one arm to hold yourself, bend at the knees and slowly lower your torso toward the ground by bringing your pelvis and knees forward. Inhale as you go down and stop when your upper and lower legs almost create a 90-degree angle. 3.Hold the stretch position for a second. 4. After your one second hold, use your thigh muscles to bring your torso back up to the starting position. Exhale as you move up. Repeat for the recommended amount of times. Caution: This exercise is to be avoided if you suffer from knee problems as it can stress the knee. Variations: If you are new to this exercise, you can start by using two arms (so you'll need the two beams of the squat rack in front of you to hold yourself). As you become more advanced then just use one arm. Do you ever feel unmotivated, overwhelmed, foggy and unfocused. People ask me all the time how do you stay motivated? ............... I come from a childhood where my parents did not provide for us. Most times their drug addiction won over their kids needs. We went without water, electricity and most times food. When they did have money I saw how they made it and became resentful at a very young age. I pushed away and couldn't wait to detach myself from them and the life they lived. When my parents passed they did a month apart my mom from complications due to sharing needles my dad from a guilt induced suicide they left us with nothing. I remember me and my brother standing there as they took the car, furniture, clothing and the house which was paid for by section 8. I had 2 small kids (my first child I had at 15) at the time and my brother and I remember thinking I'll never do this to my kids. I'll never leave them standing on the sidewalk with nothing but debt. ............... My motivation since then has been my kids I stay healthy and in shape to inspire them to do the same. I want them to see someone who eats healthy and works out. I take care of my body, my mind and I recognize I'm important too. I finally work a job where I'm creating residual income for my children. I can work hard at my job and build a business with assets that will be theirs when I pass on. I'm working a job that they can see and one day duplicate if they choose. I have a job that allows me the FREEDOM to stay home and give them my time. I feel blessed to be apart of a company that can offer that to me. Happiness feels so good I know that sounds weird but be honest have you felt happy genuinely happy recently? Some people would rather see other people happy than allow themselves to be happy. For example how many of us on this thread have kids and given the choice we want our kids to be happy before us. But ask yourself when do you make yourself a priority, when is it your turn to be happy. Are you taking those moments to do the things you enjoy? Let me tell you something, you're important and you deserve to be happy. Feel it and have no guilt about it. Most people feel guilty about taking time for themselves. I'm telling you don't!!
